Wanting to Know More?

The Christian Faith

Here are some introductory notes for those who want to know more about the Christian faith.

Our church believes that becoming a “Christian” is the most important step a person can take – even in today’s society which largely ignores this wonderful life-changing opportunity.

A simple definition of a Christian is a person who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who became our Saviour by dying for the sins of His people.

The step of accepting this statement as true involves:

  • An exciting change of heart

  • Adopting a faith and life in which Jesus Christ is at the centre

  • Following His example in your life every day

  • Telling others of the message in every way you can

We are expected to “grow” in faith as we:

  • Learn more about the wonders and meaning of His teachings

  • Praise God’s great plan for us across the centuries

  • Are enlightened by the “words of life” in the Bible

  • Enjoy fellowship and activities with other Christians

  • Trust Him as a guide for daily life

  • Witness to others the great love that He offers

Our church is dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

All Presbyterian churches in Queensland make known the good news of Jesus Christ and His claim on our lives, encouraging individuals and families to become His followers.

The good news is explained in the Bible, and we hold strongly to its rules and guidelines for faith and life.

Please have a talk with the minister or a church elder if you wish a deeper explanation of Biblical Christianity.

Also, you are most welcome at our worship services each Sunday at 9:00am and 6:30pm at our church.
